Abstract:
PI electro-mechanical Hexapods and Piezo Hexapods are compact and very precise multi-axis positioning systems, providing significantly higher accuracy and resolution than hydraulically driven positioners.
The miniature Hexapods find use in many high-tech fields:
medical engineering, X-ray microscopy, photonics alignment, semiconductor test & metrology, astronomy, precision machining, aeronautics, high-energy physics, etc.
Features and Advantages:
Smallest Industrial Grade 6-Axis Hexapod Positoner (Stewart Platform)
Sub-Micron Precision
Software for Photonics Alignment
Very High Forces and Load Capacity for its small Size
Travel to 40 mm / 60°
Load Capacity: 5 kg
Compact: 10 cm in Diameter, Height < 12 cm
Pivot Point Defined By User / Software
Mature 6-Axis Hexapod Controller and Software
PI is the leading manufacturer of high-accuracy hexapods. The company introduced its first hexapod 2 decades ago for a precision optical alignment system in an astronomical telescope and provides a large variety of different models with load capacity from 2 kg to more than 2,000 kg.
