Abstract:
"The Pharmaceutical Industry is a profit earning industry" said Dr. Orapin Rubino, Director of Formulation and Product Development, Glatt Pharmaceutical Services, Glatt Air Techniques, Inc. "The pharmaceutical industry trend is positive and a growing one. However, in order to prevent infringement of copy right law, many companies are relying on the use of nanotechnology in "sensitive" processing stage thus; making is extremely difficult and costly to copy".
Dr. Orapin informed that nanoparticulate drug delivery system demonstrates potential approach to obtain desirable drug like properties. The advantages of using nanoparticulate are ease of administration, site-specific delivery, improve patient compliance, and provide favorable clinical outcomes.
Dr. Orapin recently gave a talk on "Nanotechnology in Pharmaceutical Product Development" to researchers at NANOTEC during the NANO Talk session.
NANO Talk is a monthly presentation session organized by NANOTEC to encourage exchange of knowledge and promote networking between researchers, visiting professors, and professionals. It is an open session and the public is welcome to participate.
