Iranian Provinces Host Week-Long Nano Exhibits for Students

Tehran, Iran | Posted on May 19th, 2011

Students' Nano Club, in cooperation with Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council and various local bodies, including general governorate, IRIB, and Ministry of Education of the provinces holds weekly exhibitions in various provinces of Iran in order to promote and teach nanotechnology to the interested people, especially students.

The latest edition of such exhibitions is being held this week in Khorassan province, Northeastern Iran.

The programs of the exhibition on these days include holding a congress on introduction of basics of nanosciences and nanotechnology, display of nanoproducts in various fields, nano cinema, and introduction of students' projects. Parallel to the exhibition, a few training workshops entitled 'Methods for the Teaching of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology' are held for high school teachers, and a few of the educational programs are being held.

According to the planning of the exhibitions, efforts are being made to enable students from the towns other than provinces' centers to visit the exhibitions.

Nano Week Exhibition is an educational promotional endeavor which has been organized by Nanotechnology Student Club since 2008 in different provinces of the country. The exhibition has so far been held in Hormozgan, Yazd, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Khorassan Razavi and Fars provinces.
