Iran's Nano Center Produces Educational Films

Tehran, Iran | Posted on May 15th, 2011

Formerly, a majority of these movies comprised of programs like 'Nano, the World Within', 'Future Soldiers', 'Nanopowder', 'from Micro to Nanoelectronics' were translated into the Persian language.

In recent years, attempts have been made to produce documentaries and scientific movies based on the national achievements. Ten educational movies were produced by the people involved in the national promotion and education of nanotechnology from which mention can be made of three ones produced in 2010, namely, 'Nano and Industry', 'A Review on Nanotechnology' and 'Applications of Nanotechnology in Auto Industry'.

The bulk of national produced movies are designated to teaching nanotechnology to the students and a part of it is concerned with the domestic industry.

Applications of nanotechnology in petroleum industries, textile, construction, automobile, medicine, agriculture, packaging, water treatment, environment, nanotechnology equipments, and capabilities of domestic companies in each of those fields are elaborated by the related experts in 'Nano and Industry' movie.

Public education and promotion is one of the topics of the prospective nanotechnology strategy document. This topic is oriented towards public information about and promotion of science, technology, and nano industry. Thus, it has public audience. Several methods are used to run the programs of this topic one of which is transmitting information through educational movies.
