Home > Press > NanoInk to Exhibit & Present at SME NanoManufacturing Conference in Oak Brook, IL: Presentation will cover the applications of tip-based lithography in nanomedicine
Abstract:
NanoInk's® NanoFabrication Systems Division is pleased to announce that it will exhibit and present at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' (SME) NanoManufacturing Conference, held on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 6 at Drury Lane Conference Center in Oak Brook, Ill. Saju Nettikadan, NanoInk's director of applications development, will give a presentation on the applications of tip-based lithography in nanomedicine on Tuesday, April 5, from 3:50 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. NanoInk's NanoFabrication Systems Division will also be exhibiting at booth #207, where corporate representatives will be available to discuss NanoInk's products and applications.
In his presentation, Dr. Nettikadan will discuss how tip-based lithography platforms, related applications for MEMS biosensor functionalization, and single cell assays have the potential to play a fundamental role in developing novel manufacturing methods for nanobiomedical sciences. He will also explain that miniaturization has the potential for higher detection sensitivity, reduced assay time, and better compatibility with lab-on-a-chip technologies in diagnostics. Additionally, miniaturization technology can also enable the interrogation of cellular processes at single cell levels, which could prove to be invaluable to tissue engineering.
The SME NanoManufacturing Conference will highlight the current, near-term, and future applications of nanotechnology and how it is transforming the way products are manufactured. It will include peer networking, information sharing, and technology exchange among the world's nanomanufacturing leaders. The conference will run from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6. More information about the conference is available at: www.sme.org/cgi-bin/get-event.pl?--001989-000007-nhome--SME-
