Home > Press > NanoInk to Exhibit & Present at Society for Biomaterials’ 2011 in Orlando: Presentation will show that functionalized hydrogels have been proven to be very useful in biomedical applications
![]() |
Abstract:
NanoInk's NanoFabrication Systems Division is pleased to announce that it will exhibit and present a poster at the Society for Biomaterials' 2011 Meeting and Exposition, held on Wednesday, April 13 through Saturday, April 16 at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Fla. NanoInk will exhibit at booth #412, where representatives will be available to discuss NanoInk's products and applications on Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15. Dr. Ruby Lam, an applications scientist at NanoInk, will also present a poster entitled "Biomolecules Immobilization on Microfabricated Functional Hydrogels," that shows how functionalized hydrogels have been proven to be very useful in biomedical applications. Poster sessions will be held on Thursday, April 14, and on Friday, April 15, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
In her poster presentation, Lam will present a novel method for the construction of chemically functional hydrogel microscale patterns. Dip Pen Nanolithography (DPN) is used to directly deposit hydrogel precursors at defined location and polymerize them to form hydrogels. This method allows for rapid fabrication of high resolution patterns.
The Society for Biomaterials Exposition will highlight the latest innovations in materials science, molecular and cell biology, and engineering. It will include symposia, general sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and tutorials covering all aspects of basic, applied, and translational biomaterials science. 2011.biomaterials.org/?CFID=7100592&CFTOKEN=23055027&jsessionid=883063c3c5e236216262
