Abstract:
Toronto-based Integran Technologies, Inc. filed claims for patent infringement against Modumetal, Inc. in the United States District Court, Western District of Washington in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. Integran, a world leader in advanced metallurgical nano-technologies, has made and continues to make significant investments in nanocrystalline and fine-grained metals technologies relating to alloys and metal matrix composites. Integran also owns intellectual property rights for the cost-effective production of metallurgical nano-structures.
In the lawsuit filed in Seattle, Integran asserts that Modumetal is infringing or has infringed five U.S. Patents owned by Integran. Integran is asking the Court to permanently enjoin Modumetal from further sales or use of Modumetal's infringing nanolaminate materials and technology. Integran is also requesting that the Court compensate Integran for Modumetal's infringement of Integran's patents.
