Abstract:
Iranian Deputy Education Minister and Head of the Khwarizmi Youth Award Competition Dr. Ebrahim Saharkhiz announced that the board of referees has set up a nanotechnology jury to have an independent and more specialized assessment of works in the competition.
Head of the Khwarizmi Competition for Scientific and Executive Affairs Kazemi Faramarzi expressed his approval and appreciation for the decision, and said, "Promoting innovations among the youth is of the most sought-after goals of Khwarizmi Competition and undoubtedly areas of novel technologies, including nanotechnology, are more open to innovations."
Kazemi Faramarzi believes that the increased general knowledge of the Iranian students in area of nanotechnology has inspired the decision, and explained, "Holding several educational workshops and short courses at schools has considerably expanded the students' knowledge about nanotechnology and attracted their attention to the fields/applications thereof."
"Hence, I anticipate a good approval of this newly-included section of Khwarizmi Research Competition."
