Abstract:
The Pittcon 2011 Exposition, which takes place March 14 - 17, at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia, will include 978 exhibitors (count as of February 15) that provide products, services, and support for all facets of laboratory operations in the industrial, academic, and government sectors. The exposition will display the latest technologies and instrumentation for areas such as bioanalytical chemistry; pharmaceutical science and drug discovery; life sciences to include forensics, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics; food analysis and safety; environmental; and biotechnology- to name a few.

The Exposition is international in scope with approximately 20% of the exhibiting companies headquartered in 29 countries such as Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The 570,061 square foot (total footage) exposition floor will include 2,061 booths; 37 seminar rooms (counts as of February 15, 2011); 3 mixers; 3 specialized areas-New Exhibitor, Life Sciences, and Laboratory Informatics; and Centennial Park. This year, Pittcon will be welcoming 108 new exhibitors which can be viewed at www.pittcon.org. There will also be a French Pavillon consisting of companies from France and an ICP alley.

Posters will be displayed in two areas on the floor-the Red and the Blue Poster areas. (Session locations are identified in the Final Program.) There will be Exposition Only hours from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday to allow conferees to visit the Exposition without missing any important technical sessions.

Exposition Chairman Ron Bargiel commented "The Pittcon exposition has always been the best opportunity to see, evaluate, and compare the latest instrumentation, technology, and supplies for laboratory science provided by exhibitors from all over the world-all in one place. And this year is no exception."
