Iranian Automaker Welcomes Nano-Glasses for Car Windows

Iran | Posted on January 17th, 2011

According to authorities of the producer company, Kaveh Glass Company, the glass can be used in various climates. It prevents the heat outside the car from entering the interior in hot areas and does not let the heat inside the car go out in cold areas.

Sales manager of the company elaborated on different types of such glasses they have produced, and said, "Laminate building glass is one of the glasses produced by Kaveh Glass Company. Nano glasses have been used to form one layer of this glass."

Explaining the advantages of using nanotechnology in window and windshield glasses, he reiterated, "Nano-coatings used in laminate glasses enable them to have wider applications. Among the advantage of the glasses, mention can be made of color diversity, translucency, energy and heat transfer, and change in reflection."

According to him, the glasses are also able to prevent ultra violet ray in the sunlight.

The company has employed nanotechnology in the production of other types of glasses such as soft coating glasses, visible and invisible light reflectors, energy waste reducer and self-cleansing glasses.

The export manager of the company stated that the countries Turkey, India, Saudi Arabia and some of the European countries have shown interest in the nano-glasses produced by this company. The company started the production of glasses with nano-coatings in 2005.
