Australian to lead ORNL's nanoscience center

Abstract:
Sean Smith, an Australian scientist who heads the computational biology and nanotechnology program at the University of Queensland, has accepted an offer to direct ORNL's nanoscience research center.

Smith will report for his new job at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences as soon as the visa process is completed, which could take a couple of months, said Michelle Buchanan, ORNL's associate lab director for physical sciences.
