NanoInk Selected To Exhibit At NNI’s Nanotechnology Innovation Showcase

Skokie, IL | Posted on December 7th, 2010

NanoInk® is pleased to announce that it has been selected to exhibit at the National Nanotechnology Initiative's (NNI) Nanotechnology Innovation Showcase, held Wednesday, December 8 through Friday, December 10 at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. The Showcase features nanotechnology funding success stories including technologies and applications that will be impacting, or are currently impacting the commercial marketplace. The NNI's Nanotechnology Innovation Showcase brings together the nation's leaders in nanotechnology research, development, implementation, policy and finance, along with a showcase of the top nanotechnology technologies generated through NNI support over the past ten years.

"We can deposit materials in spots ranging in size from 50 nanometers to larger nano-bio features up to 10 microns in size," said Tom Warwick, general manager, NanoInk's NanoFabrication Systems Division. "This opens up a whole new class of applications in tissue engineering, where the ability to write precise structures on a sub-cellular scale of multiple materials opens up a wealth of new experimental possibilities."

During the course of 2010, NanoInk has been working on a range of solutions for nanoengineers and bioengineers including several commercial applications. These will be on display at NanoInk's booth #229, where corporate representatives will be discussing new patterning applications for biological materials, showing videos of the deposition in action and specific applications examples. They will also be able to answer questions on how the deposition equipment can be utilized by researchers and engineers alike.

NanoProfessor™, a division of NanoInk, will also have an exhibit with instruments on display.

Hours for the Technology Showcase are from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8 and from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 9.
