Home > Press > UK Technology Events Align to Bring Focus on Product Development & Manufacturing Industry for 2011
Abstract:
Rapid News Communications Group (RNCG) are pleased to formally announce the creation of the UK's largest grouping of industrial shows set to take place for some years. September 2011 will see established advanced technology events TCT Live and MM Live UK re-locate to the NEC to run alongside the triennial plastics industry event Interplas. RNCG will also launch two
new feature events to run alongside the three established events.
TCT Live and MM Live UK are the leading events focused on product development and additive manufacturing and micro and precision manufacturing. More than 3,600 attendees visited the two shows in 2010. In order to sustain strong growth and to enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience a bigger venue is needed.
The requirement to make this move comes at an exciting point as 2011 will see RNCG take the reins of Interplas for the first time. Relocating TCT Live and MM Live UK alongside Interplas at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) enables continued growth whilst also drawing together a unique group of shows that have great synergy. It offers the exhibitors of each show greater business potential whilst delivering a broader range of technology solutions for every attendee — marking September 2011 out as THE month for advancing UK manufacturing.
Duncan Wood, Managing Director of the Events Group at RNCG commented, "This unique opportunity to bring TCT Live, MM Live and Interplas together under one roof, along with two new feature events, NANO Live showcasing Nano Technology and MEMS Live showcasing Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, is one we cannot fail to take advantage of for our exhibitors and potential visitors."
"The combination of the five events will deliver in the region of 12,000 visitors over the three days and underlines the fact that this group of events have a real opportunity to make an impact on the UK engineering and manufacturing sector, the technologies on show will make companies who adopt them more competitive, more efficient and more capable of innovation, all critical factors in competing on a global level."
"We are keen to connect with any organisation, company or network in the engineering, manufacturing, industry and technology spheres who have similar missions and aims, through collaboration we can ensure September 2011 is a real platform to build growth on for the future of these sectors."
TCT Live, MM Live UK, MEMS Live, NANO Live and Interplas will take place 27th-29th September 2011 at the NEC, Birmingham. Additionally the PPMA event for the packaging sector, jointly managed by the PPMA and Reed Exhibition will also take place on the same dates.
