Home > Press > NANOfutures invites stakeholders to join Working Groups
Abstract:
The huge amount of information and the complex environment around nanotechnology translate into a clear lack of broad view defining the key nodes of strategic nano activities, including the needs of society, policy and environmental issues. In order to support European industries to successfully profit from nanotechnologies, there is a need for converging approaches, for clear market drivers and for clear orientations to bring benefit to the community. NANOfutures Working Groups (WGs) strive to address these issues and will meet in Brussels 20th of January.
NANOfutures WGs will identify the key nodes in strategic nano-activities and develop strategies to address nano-technology challenges with an inter-sectoral approach. This will be achieved by a close interaction between horizontal working groups, which will address cross-sectoral horizontal issues, and sectoral group representatives (i.e. ETP representatives).
NANOfutures WGs are: Safety Research; Industrial Safety Strategy; Standardization; Technology Transfer & Innovation Financing; Regulation; Industrialization & nano-Manufacturing; Skills and Education; Networking; Communication and Research & Technology. The objective of the horizontal working groups is to present recommendations for strategic actions under each of these main topics. We invite you to join these groups please see list of topics and all contact data of WG chairs at www.nanofutures.eu and contact Margherita Cioffi
EuroNanoForum will take place in Budapest from 30th May to 1st June 2011
EuroNanoForum 2011 is a multidisciplinary nanotechnology scene showcasing the latest developments and future research challenges. See the state of the art technologies and research results from leading research institutes, key industrial actors and high-tech SMEs. EuroNanoForum 2011 will have an extensive matchmaking programme, enabling attendees to book meetings online in advance with potential research and business partners.
