Abstract:
Ultratech, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTEK), a leading supplier of lithography and laser-processing systems used to manufacture semiconductor devices and high-brightness LEDs (HB-LEDs), today announced the opening of its Singapore international headquarters.
To better serve its large customer base in Asia, the Ultratech Singapore operations will include engineering and manufacturing for its lithography systems and other related products. These products include lithography steppers for advanced packaging and HB-LEDs, and modules for the laser spike anneal systems (LSA). Ultratech's international sales and service operations will also be headquartered in the Singapore facility. The company's laser processing systems will continue to be manufactured at its facility in San Jose, Calif. The grand opening event for the Singapore operations will be held on December 6, 2010 with manufacturing of lithography systems from the Singapore facility planned to begin in late 2010 with the first tool shipments to customers scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
