Thai Professor Hails Iran's Considerable Progress in Nanotechnology

Iran | Posted on November 14th, 2010

Li Jian Chen, one of the invited speakers, praised the workshop as a sought-after opportunity to share knowledge and said, "The workshop's topics were highly technical in scope and interesting."

Expressing the hope that such scientific gatherings between the two nations would become more frequent, he added, "I evaluate the scientific level of Iran in nanotechnology as very promising which probably stems from Iran's growth in basic sciences."

Dr. Alireza Moshfeq with the Physics Department of Sharif University of Technology referred to the interaction between Iranian and Taiwanese researchers, and reiterated that sharing experience with nanotechnology related equipment/apparatus was the idea behind holding the event.

The workshop was the first shared academic/educational workshop of Iran and Taiwan. During the event four experts of each country presented their latest achievements/experiences in the field of nanotechnology.

The workshop was held at the Faculty of Physics of Sharif University of Technology on November 7-8, and was planned to meet the interests of the PhD students whose theses' subjects were related to nanotechnology areas.
