A day at Albany CNSE: Nanofab tour, future plans, and unearthing Washington
Abstract:
The CNSE facilities are a tight ballet of collaboration and proprietary development work, glued by a "spirit of accessibility" but with adherence to protocols, according to Michael Liehr, AVP for business/alliances/consortia at CNSE, as he walked a couple dozen attendees along the corridor adjacent to CNSE's Nanofab facilities. Recipes are downloaded to tools from a host by each operator beginning a project and are deleted when finished. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls separate sections of tightly-packed-with-tools yet smooth-flowing facilities. The CNSE employees act through it all as a sort of Swiss Guard, he explained.
