Pittcon Announces 2011 Technical Program

Pittsburgh, PA | Posted on October 20th, 2010

The Pittcon Program Committee is pleased to announce that the 2011 Technical Program is now available on the Pittcon website. The Technical Program held Sunday,
March 13 -Thursday, March 16, will consist of symposia, organized contributed sessions, oral sessions, workshops, posters, and Conferee Networking Sessions covering a wide range of topics in areas of analytical chemistry, applied spectroscopy, life sciences, bioanalysis, food sciences, and related disciplines.

Due to its popularity in 2010, Pittcon will again be webcasting 50 select sessions, which will be available for attendee access for 60 days after the conference.

Highlights of this year's Program include an emphasis on environmental issues with a concentration of environmental oral and poster sessions presented on Wednesday and Thursday. In addition to delivering the plenary lecture, Polyvalent DNA Architectures: New Modalities For Intracellular Gene Regulation and Detection, Chad A. Mirkin will also deliver presentations in the sessions entitled From Small Molecules to Nanomaterials: Innovative Approaches for Monitoring, Sensing and Imaging and Bionanotechnology in the Era of Molecular Medicine - both of which will be webcast.

Program Chair Janeth Pifer commented on this year's program, "We are pleased to present an outstanding Technical Program again this year...You will find a broad range of presentations that demonstrates the best applications for solving complex problems in molecular biology, pharmaceutics, the environment, forensics, materials science and more."
