Inplant Modular Offices, Cleanrooms, Mezzanines, and Industrial Wall Partitions from PortaFab |
Abstract:
The manufacturer innovative, environmentally friendly modular construction products and provides technical support to architects, contractors and developers in the construction industry recently achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
On March 10, 2010, Portafab Modular Building Systems was assessed by NSF-ISR, Ltd. and found to be in conformance with ISO 9001:2008 standards. Portafab Modular Building Systems manufactures innovative, environmentally friendly modular construction products and provides technical support to architects, contractors and developers in the construction industry.
Organized into integrated systems that streamline the construction process and provide nearly unlimited flexibility, PortaFab's modular components are used extensively in the construction of inplant offices, modular cleanrooms, dry rooms, wall partitions, demising walls and pre-assembled buildings.
Significant growth in supplying high-tech manufacturing industries and the increasing application of Portafab's modular systems in creating cleanroom and environmentally controlled areas served as a catalyst for achieving ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
"While we have always placed a high priority on quality and have supplied sophisticated space organization and cleanroom solutions to many of the world's leading manufacturers, achieving certification remained an ongoing goal of our organization," said Wayne McGee, the company's president.
Portafab's primary product lines include OmniFlex 300™, a cost-effective load-bearing wall system ideal for all types of modular offices, and PortaMax™ XTRA Tall wall systems for dividing plant space. Cleanroom systems include Cleanline™ for general applications, FabLine™ for the microelectronics industry and PharmaSystem™ for pharmaceutical and bio tech environments.
"Historically, a large percentage of the business in our industry involved supplying relatively simple inplant offices and guard booths. As a result, our industry has lagged behind others in regards to its suppliers achieving ISO certification. Portafab, however, has focused its efforts more on high technology applications related to lithium battery production, nanotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing. These ventures require extremely high levels of quality...so leading the industry in this area remains a huge priority for PortaFab," said McGee.
ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It is designed to provide companies with a set of principles that ensure a systematic approach to achieving customer satisfaction.
