Abstract:
International Visibility and International Collaboration go hand-in-hand when it comes to building national research capabilities. NANOTEC is committed to increasing its profile in international arena and at the same time, enhancing its in-house research capabilities. Identifying, attending, and participating at key international research conferences are necessary in order to achieve this goal.
On this note, Prof. Dr. Pairash Thajchayapong, Chairman of National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) Executive Board and Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director, NANOTEC will lead a NANOTEC research delegation to attend the IEEE NANO 2010 & NANO Korea 2010 during August 17-20, 2010 at KINTEX, Seoul, Korea (www.ieeenano2010.org/)
The aims of the trip are to have the opportunity to provide up-to-date information on the status of nanotechnology in Thailand and NANOTEC's research activities to international audience. In addition, the trip will also help to establish linkages and network with research institutions in Korea.
A highlight of the trip will be the signing of a Research Collaborative MOU with Nano Convergence Practical Application Center (NPAC) on August 18 at NANO Korea 2010. NANOTEC hope this MOU will act as a spring board to increasing research interaction between NPAC and NANOTEC researchers.
Additional sideline meeting are confirmed with the following Korean institutions:
* Ministry of Education, Science &Technology (MEST)
* Nanostructured Materials Technology, Korean Institute of Science and Technology
(KIST)
* BioNanotechnology Research Center, Korean Research Institute in Bioscience and
Biotechnology (KRIBB)
* Nano Technology Research Association of Korea (NTRA) and Korea Nano Technology
Research Society (KoNTRS).
* Korea Nanotechnology Information Program (KISTI)
