Teaching partnership shows science's real-world uses
Abstract:
Wenwu Shi, a material engineering graduate student at the University of Alabama, gives a demonstration of the Macro-machines for the Nanoscience Fun Experiment on Thursday.
Northridge High School science teacher Paige Spencer and UA chemistry professor Laura Busenlehner partnered for an experiment involving nanoparticles that will teach students about protein synthesis, the process in which cells build proteins.
