NEI Corporation introduces Nanotech Analytics, a new comprehensive advanced materials characterization and analysis service

Somerset, NJ | Posted on May 28th, 2010

In many instances, nanoscale materials have fundamentally different characteristics than conventional microscale materials. Nanotech Analytics goes beyond just physical characterization, and assists the customer in identifying the special attributes of nanoscale materials and how to benefit from them. When appropriate, the tests are carried out under applicable industry standards, such as those from the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

Given NEI's vast experience in nanotechnology and materials synthesis, Nanotech Analytics enables the company to share its knowledge with customers through testing and analysis of its customer's materials with NEI's state of the art equipment.

"Through Nanotech Analytics, we bring to our customers over a dozen years of experience in understanding nanotechnology and nanoscale materials," says Dr. Ganesh Skandan, CEO of NEI Corporation. He added, "As the field of Nanotechnology matures, innovative companies find ways to tap into the benefits of using nanoscale materials, and NEI is proud to be supporting these companies."

A sample of the services includes:

* Powder Characterization - Particle Size Analysis, BET Surface Area, X-ray Diffraction, TGA/DTA
* Coating Characterization - Mar, Abrasion, Hardness, Haze, Impact Testing, Film Thickness, Hydrophobicity (Contact Angle)
* Dispersion Characterization - Viscosity, Optical Transmission, Zeta Potential, Infrared Spectroscopy
