$100G state workers up 16% in '09
Abstract:
The poor economy has done little to slow the growth in the number of state workers making more than $100,000 a year, state records show.
The number of six-figure salaries on the public rolls grew to 23,685 workers in 2009, up 16 percent from 2008. It's the largest total in state history, and four times as high as it was in 2000, when 5,800 state workers made $100,000 or more.
Second on the list was Alain E. Kaloyeros, the head of the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at SUNY Albany. He earned $734,353.
