BNC Heads for a Hat Trick

UK | Posted on December 4th, 2009

Bio Nano Consulting (BNC), the specialist bio-nanotechnology product development consultancy, is delighted to be heading into only their second year of trading with one award already under their belt and two further award shortlistings. In recognition of their internationalisation, significant progress and performance as ambassadors of the UK life science sector, BNC has been shortlisted for the Genesis Awards' UKTI assisted newcomer of the year and Company Newsflow of the Year. Meanwhile, Dr Rachel McKendry, one of BNC's key collaborators, recently received the prestigious Paterson medal and prize from the Institute of Physics, in recognition of her international contributions.

The Genesis Awards celebrate the best that the UK has to offer in biotech and recognise the great success achieved by the UK's leading companies, universities and inward investors over the previous 12 months. Being shortlisted for these awards further enhances BNC's reputation as a commercially-focused consultancy with world class technology and expertise. With their rapidly expanding portfolio of clients in a variety of areas, including biotechnology, defence, electronics, pharmaceutical and med-tech, the future is looking increasingly bright for BNC.

BNC's CEO, Dr David Sarphie commented "It has been a fantastic year for BNC. We have literally gone from strength to strength with many sizable contracts won, a 3 fold increase in turnover and expansion of our staff to 11 from just 3. To have this recognised by these prestigious organisations is a tremendous honour."

The Genesis Awards take place at London's Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre on the 10th December.
