ENI has signed a contract with the European commission and 10 other partners concerning the participation in an EU funded project focusing on Surfaces for Molecular recognition at the atomic level.

The consortium consist of University of Nottingham (United Kingdom), Lunds Universitet (Sweden), The University of Reading (United Kingdom), University College London (United Kingdom), Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon (France) Aarhus Universitet (Denmark), Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain), The University of Liverpool (United Kingdom), Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GMBH (Germany), Max Planck Gesellschaft zur Foerderung derWissenschaften E.V. (Germany),

The project extends over three years with a total budget of 4 million Euros.

The second largest shareholder in ENI, Patrik Lundström, has decided to resign from his operative position as CEO in one of ENI's portfolio companies Obducat AB (publ). Patrik Lundström will, as shareholder in ENI, be engaged in ENI and work with fund raising activities and structural issues regarding the portfolio companies.

NanoCam AB, a privately held company focused on nanooptics. Miniature cameras are frequently used today in many areas of consumer applications. Application areas are found in the digital cameras and mobile phone industry as well as surveillance and homeland security, medical imaging of the interior of our body and cinematography.

NanoBio Chip AB, a privately held company focused on the development of nanobased protein chips used for detection of proteins responsible for certain illnesses. Compared to today’s protein chip technology the NanoBio Chip technology enables1000 times higher screening efficiency that allows for a quicker and more efficient drug development process.

Nanoanalyzer AB, a privately held company focused on test technology and equipment for NEMS (nanooelectromechanical systems) and MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) devices that are frequently used today in many areas of consumer applications. One of the bigger application areas is found within the car industry, Accelerometers: To inflate airbag, Gyros: To stabilize cars avoiding turnover or rolling, Anti Blocking Systems: Avoiding wheels to get locked, Anti Spin System: Avoiding wheels to spin unevenly. Other application areas are found in Medial- and Bio-testing sector as well as within light engineering industry.
