Abstract:
As of September 1st Dr. Raul Pires took over the responsibilities for the activities on Carbon Nanotubes & Nanoproducts at Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) 2009 from Martin Schmid.

The former scope based on carbon nanotubes and Baytubes was thereby additionally expanded by the nano-modified coatings and adhesives raw materials activities.

Prior to his current assignment, Dr. Raul Pires headed the Business Development group of the Coatings, Adhesives and Specialties raw materials business unit of BMS for Asia Pacific from 2006 to August 2009 in Shanghai/P.R. China.

Dr. Pires joined Bayer in 1997 and has since then worked in several different technical and commercial positions such as lab manager coatings, product manager and senior sales manager Europe.
