McNary senior closer to dream of working for NASA

Abstract:
Kids still dream big. Just ask Ian Jones.

"Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to work for NASA and to be an astronaut," Jones said.

This summer, Jones worked full time as an intern at NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif.

"He got to rub elbows with some of the most impressive people who are involved with thermal physics and nanotechnology," said his father, Bob Jones, an assistant principal at McNary High.
