Abstract:
Stuttgart Nanodays 2009 is an international scientific conference hosted by the Fraunhofer IPA (Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation) Stuttgart, Germany on 14-15 September 2009, focusing on visions for short- and medium-term carbon nanotube applications.

Stuttgart Sets New Trends

Stuttgart, Germany | Posted on August 17th, 2009

Among well-known attendees the pioneers in the field of carbon nanotubes as Ray Baughman, Director of NanoTech Institute at the University of Texas in Dallas, Siegmar Roth, a founder of the company Sineurop Nanotech GmbH currently lecturing at the Korea University in Seoul, Kenji Kiyohara, Senior Research Scientist working together with Kinji Asaka in the area artificial cell research at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Osaka and Zvi Yaniv, President of Applied Nanotech Holdings, Inc. are due to speak at the conference.

The conference covers the issues of carbon nanotube processability, transparency, conductivity, actuation and safety and invites politicians, industrial key players and researchers involved in the investigation of this unique material to exchange ideas and set new trends in this field.

Since their discovery in 1991 by Sumio Iijima carbon nanotubes have been greatly preoccupying the global research community.
