Duke, Destro dip into CGI toybox to blow filmgoers away in ‘G.I. Joe’

Abstract:
Set in the near future, the story begins with the introduction of arms magnate James McCullen, also known as Destro (Christopher Eccleston), unveiling his latest weapon of mass destruction, based on nanotechnology. At the core of the weapon are millions of man-made Nanomites, each programmed to consume everything it touches until signaled to stop.

McCullen's company, MARS, sells four Nanomite warheads to NATO, to be delivered by U.S. Special Forces. The convoy is attacked en route by the Baroness (Sienna Miller), leaving only two soldiers alive, Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) to protect the warheads. At the last minute, the plot is foiled by Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), members of the elite G.I. Joe team.
