Tech firm’s future said to now be ‘in flux’: NanoDynamics employees told they’re out of work

Abstract:
Buffalo high-tech company NanoDynamics Inc. told employees their jobs were being eliminated and that it has closed its doors "for the final time."

NanoDynamics' human resources coordinator, Jennifer Kapalczynski, sent an e-mail to employees notifying them the company was closing, naming last Tuesday as the final day of business.

"Avenues to locate permanent financing have been explored and exhausted, which leaves us no other choice," she wrote.

But a spokeswoman for the company, Jennifer Parker, suggested hope remained for the company. She described NanoDynamics as "in flux" and said its chief executive officer, William Cann, is still working on an "out-of-town financing deal."
