New high-tech start-up comes to NanoRite
Abstract:
Frank Bucheger is still in his early days as the general manager of Resonant MicroSystems Inc., a defense contractor located at NanoRite in west Eau Claire. A visit to the plant reveals a lot of start-up activity: gear still crated, plans being made.
Resonant has located the research and development operation there to determine whether or not the operation can build microproducts of sufficient quality that will enable the firm to go into production.
"It will happen," affirms Bucheger, a Jim Falls resident and Chippewa Valley Technical College board member. Ten employees, including two CVTC nano-science technology grads, comprise the current staff and there will be ten more by January. Maybe 80 to 100 more someday, he says.
