Abstract:
SabryCorp submitted a report to the UK Parliament offering evidence on the prospect of nanotechnology to address the challenges of world hunger. They conclude that nanotechnology allows for more efficient, smart farming with solutions that optimize water resources, provide safer pest control, monitor crops and improve agricultural productivity.

SabryCorp Submits Evidence to the UK Parliament on the Global Food

Cairo, Egypt | Posted on June 30th, 2009

The report answers questions regarding:

* Lack of food security
* Role of the UK government, academia and private industries
* Global challenges faced in addressing global food security.

SabryCorp suggests that research groups in the UK should be encouraged to investigate solutions for agricultural uses of nanotechnology and related areas such as water filtration. Groups in these areas, the report concludes, should be encouraged with incentives from the UK government to work with partners in developing countries on the development and implementation of these technologies as a way to meet the needs of the world's poor.
