JPK Instruments appoints Bucher Biotec for Swiss market

Berlin, Germany | Posted on April 28th, 2009

Bucher Biotec AG is a privately held, well established Swiss distributor company representing major US, European and Japanese manufacturers of scientific instruments and associated consumables for life sciences research. Bucher Biotec was founded over thirty years ago and has built a reputation of excellence both for the products supplied and for their highly trained support team. Roland Bucher, CEO of Bucher, says he is excited with the opportunity to bring JPK's range of products to Switzerland. "JPK has a top quality reputation for their NanoWizard® BioAFM. It is good to see a company broaden its range to meet customer needs and the release of products such as the NanoTracker optical tweezers system shows a deep understanding of the technologies needed in the growing biotechnology and life sciences markets."

Commenting on the appointment, JPK's Carmen Friedrichsen, head of sales development in Europe, said "we have known the Bucher company for many years and seen how they are respected by their customers. We feel we have chosen a partner with the right capabilities to both sell and support JPK's products, helping us grow in the Swiss market."

Bucher Biotec will have specialists dedicated to the JPK Instruments product line with demonstration systems available at the prestigious new offices in the White Plaza complex in central Basel.
