Home > Press > NanoTech09: Metal-Free Fine Grinding to the Nano-range
Abstract:
Who: NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology
What: Technical presentation on Metal-Free Fine Grinding using the Smallest Grinding Media
When: May 3-7
Where: Nanotech 2009
Booth # 711
George R. Brown Convention Center
Houston, Texas
Only the finest grinding media allow for metal-free grinding down to the nanometer size range and dispersion of nano-sized particles. NETZSCH's screenless agitator bead mill makes the separation of grinding media down to 50 microns of diameter possible, even with low stirrer tip speeds.
NETZSCH's technical presentation "Screenless Agitator Bead Mill for the Use of Smallest Grinding Media" reviews the bead mill's grinding media separator system, or Open Dynamic Classifier (ODC), as well as the difference between the real comminution, deagglomeration and disaggregation processes. John Hill, application and process advisor, NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, will present the experiment's results on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:30 pm in room 370BE.
