Broomfield Library goes high tech at Nanodays
Abstract:
At Nanodays, hosted by the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Library and sponsored by Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network, researchers in the cutting-edge field will discuss the uses, benefits and hazards of nano research.
The Saturday seminar, Broomfield's third Nanodays event, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Eisenhower Room at the library.
After a short introduction of the uses and history of nanotechnology by University of Colorado associate professor Wounjhang (Won) Park, audience members can explore materialsby participating in a series of hands-on activities designed to demonstrate the scale of nanomaterials, and to show how to handle materials of that size.
