Abstract:
Alexium is pleased to announce that it has been declared 2009's "Worlds Best Technology" at the WBT 2009 Showcase, the premier annual global investment and licensing forum for emerging technologies.
Alexium received the platinum award ahead of 90 pre-screened technology finalists invited to present at the event over a two-day period. They included technologies submitted by leading universities, research facilities and the private sector from 27 states and 11 countries and included Biotechnology, Communications, Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Software and Advanced Materials.
The judging panel comprised of Fortune 500 technology scouts and venture capital investors who assessed each technology on the unique strengths of the technology, the size of potential markets as well as an assessment of the remaining barriers to commercialization.
The WBT Showcase is produced in cooperation with the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds (NASVF), the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC), and the Southeastern Universities Research Association (SURA). More here www.wbtshowcase.com/wbt/web.nsf/pages/index.html
