Australian companies making nanotechnology ripples in Tokyo
Abstract:
QUEENSLAND-based nanotech companies TenasiTech and the Very Small Particle Company (VSPC) are at the world's largest nanotechnology exhibition and conference in Tokyo.
The three-day Nano Tech expo began on 18 February 2009, and is expected to attract 50,000 delegates from around the world.
Both companies will be building partnerships with international companies, forming research collaborations, and meeting potential investors.
Nanotechnology is focused on designing and application of materials and devices at a molecular level, and is used to enhance and produce a large range of products.
It already has applications in the marine, advanced manufacturing, ICT, defence, aerospace, environmental and health industries.
