Abstract:
In January 2009, Fluidinova releases a new nanoXIM Product - nanoXIM•TCP. A TriCalcium Phosphate based product, with the distinctive purity and quality of all nanoXIM products.

New Product From Fluidinova

Moreira da Maia, Portugal | Posted on February 4th, 2009

Following the introduction of nanoXIM•HAp hydroxyapatite in 2008, Fluidinova now presents nanoXIM•TCP, the second range of products from the nanoXIM nanoparticles biomaterials line. These materials are produced using a proprietary reaction technology - NETmix®, which ensures their high quality and purity. "The new nanoXIM•TCP product will enlarge the range of options of our costumers relatively to the Calcium Phosphate nanoparticles products that we are already providing, Similarly to nanoXIM•HAp, this new product is also available in paste and powder form, enabling the production of biphasic mixtures of HAp and β-TCP nanoparticles according to costumers needs", said Dr. Paulo Quadros, nanoXIM and NETmix Group Leader at Fluidinova.

Another relevant result was obtained in November 2008: an High-Resolution TEM analysis revealed that nanoXIM•HAp products are nanocrystalline, mimicking the crystalline mineral structure of human bone. This important finding was revealed by Prof Paulo Ferreira, of the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
