Iran Prepares 20-Year Scientific Plan
Abstract:
Iran's Vice President in Science and Technology said the country's Comprehensive Scientific Plan is ready after a one-year effort.
Dr. Sadeq Vaezzadeh, told reporters on Monday that the 20-page plan has some 35,000 supporting pages that can be used in various fields..
"This is the first plan which maps out the country's 20-year scientific outlook," he said, adding, "1,000 scholars worked on the plan in the past year. They took into consideration the strategic and innovative priorities of various scientific and technological fields."
The plan has set numerous goals such as the promotion of the Persian language, Iranian history and civilization, Shiite sciences and regional health, press tv reported.
The plan emphasizes the importance of nanotechnology, aerospace, energy, environment, water management and national transportation systems.
