ASEAN workshop on advanced materials science opens
Abstract:
The ASEAN workshop on advanced materials science and nanotechnology opened in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province on Sept. 16, drawing more than 200 scientists from 10 ASEAN member countries, the US, Japan, France and Germany, and international organisations.
The workshop is to strengthen researches and application of the materials science and nanotechnology in each ASEAN member country.
It also aims to enhance cooperation between regional materials science and technology laboratories.
During the five-day workshop, participants will discuss issues related to advanced materials for electronics and photonics, nanostructured materials and nano-devices, and nanotechnology in life science and environmental technology.
They will also join round-table discussions to propose cooperation measures in materials science and nanotechnology between ASEAN member countries and the Asia-Pacific Centre for Theoretical Physics as well as the world's advanced countries.
