EarthSky launches nanotech podcast series in conjunction with Fred Friendly seminars
Abstract:
EarthSky Communications today announced the launch of a new series of 10 podcasts - focused on the emerging science of nanotechnology - as part of the nationwide Nanotechnology: Power of Small project.
The first podcast is available now. It features Andrew Maynard, Chief Science Advisor of the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies, who speaks with EarthSky about balancing nano's benefits and risks.
Also part of this project is a new Fred Friendly Seminars series being broadcast on public TV stations beginning in April, 2008. The televised panels present a diverse group of experts who address how nanotechnology will change the world. Guided by host John Hockenberry, the panels struggle with real-life dilemmas of nanotechnology, from treating disease, to advanced information technology, to cleaning up the environment with nanotech.
