Keller and Heckman LLP and NanoReg® Schedule "Nanotechnology: The Future of EHS Regulatory Policy" Conference

Baltimore, MD | Posted on January 26th, 2008

In response to the tremendous interest in, and recent policy announcements on, nanotechnology environmental, health and safety (EHS) issues, Keller and Heckman and NanoReg® have created an agenda to guide the chemical industry through these new developments.

These changes include strategic plans being developed by the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI), the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), and the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regarding policies and priorities for nanotechnology EHS research and oversight. Also included is The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's recently-announced plan to test a representative set of manufactured nanomaterials.

This is the conference to attend to assess how nanotechnology is being managed and how it will develop in the future for EHS purposes.

Nanotechnology presents your business with opportunities to develop an array of exciting new products with enhanced or fundamentally different performance properties. This one-day session will feature leaders in public policy who will share their views on corporate and regulatory governance related to developing an environmental, health and safety (EHS) framework for the products of the future.

Confirmed speakers for the conference include: Conference hosts Martha Marrapese, Partner, Keller and Heckman LLP and John DiLoreto, Founder, NanoReg®, as well as guest speakers, Dr. Richard Canady, Office of the Commissioner, FDA; Dr. Kenneth Mundt, Principal, ENVIRON®; Jim Willis, Division Director, Environmental Protection Agency; Terry Medley, Director of Global Regulatory Affairs, DuPont and Mike Novak, Partner, Keller and Heckman LLP.
