AAMI/ FDA Conference to examine tubing misconnections, emerging technologies
Abstract:
Final plans are taking shape for the 18th annual Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)/FDA International Conference on Medical Device Standards and Regulation (ISC), which will include sessions on medical device connectors and misconnections; the role of standards in the global medical device supply chains; and emerging standards issues in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
The conference — which will be held March 19-20 in the Washington, DC area — is designed for professionals who are responsible for complying with, or understanding, medical device standards and regulations.
Other issues to be addressed at the event include emerging technologies such as home care devices, nanotechnology and robotics, and combination products. As always, the event will examine upcoming changes to the most critical industry standards.
