UNH, others, hope for $12m for nanotech R & D
Abstract:
The National Science Foundation is preparing to rule on whether to renew a five-year grant for the Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing at the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University, and group members say it's an important decision for industry in the state.
The Foundation previously granted $12 million over fi ve years to the research center, a grant that is due to expire at the end of next year. In six to nine months, the foundation will rule on renewing the grant for five more years at a similar dollar fi gure, said Foundation spokesman Barbara Kenny.
