Industrial Nanotech Announces Important New Agricultural Market Sector

NAPLES, FL | Posted on November 27th, 2007

"Mr. Alexandros Karatoupouzis, our representative in Greece, first spoke with the Agricultural University of Athens in July of this year," explained Francesca Crolley, V.P. of Operations & Marketing for Industrial Nanotech, Inc. "The university was interested in testing Nansulate to determine its effect on the plant production and energy savings in agricultural greenhouse applications when applied to the clear roof and side panels. We were notified today that the data proves conclusively that Nansulate offers significant energy savings for the greenhouse agriculture industry without negative impact on plant growth or food production." Ms. Crolley continues, "Greenhouses are critical to current and future food supplies worldwide. They offer the unique benefit of allowing year-round food production in climates that plants are not native to. As more and more agricultural land is lost to urban development and climate change reduces arable acreage in many regions of the world, agriculture utilizing greenhouses will continue to assert an increasingly important role in world-wide food production and is considered a high growth industry. We are pleased to see that our coatings can offer significant benefits to this critical growing global industry."

Millions of acres of greenhouses are currently producing critical food crops worldwide and the growth of this agricultural sector is expected to continue to expand exponentially, especially in China and the arid regions of the Middle East and Africa. Greenhouse cultivated food crops include tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, watermelon, squash, lettuce, asparagus, grapes, strawberries, bananas, oranges, and many other fruits and vegetables essential to good nutrition.
