Italy eyes bigger slice of Turkish market
Abstract:
Turkey's third largest trade partner, Italy, has drafted a strategy plan to strengthen ties with Turkish businesses through 70 different initiatives in the upcoming year, director of the Italian Trade Center, Roberto Luongo, said.
In an effort to strengthen already existing ties with the technology sector, the Italian Trade Center will organize a forum on biotechnology and nanotechnology at the Swiss Hotel in Istanbul on Nov. 22. Members of the technological communities of both countries will gather to discuss the issues at hand and develop a platform of collaboration. On the same day, Turkey's research center TUBITAK and the Italian Committee for Biotechnology, Security and Life Sciences are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding for closer collaboration.
