Child Prodigy Launches Global Search For A University

Abstract:
Ainan Celeste Cawley, the seven-year-old boy who passed the "O" Level Chemistry examination early this year, has launched a global search for a university to further his academic pursuits.

Ainan is currently preparing for his "A" Level examination and according to his father, Valentine Cawley, 38, a writer, he should be sitting the examination soon.

"He does his own reading and sometimes I take him through things. Theoretically, he knows the entire A Level Chemistry," he told a news conference today.

"His requirements are simple. Firstly, the medium of instruction should be in English. Secondly, the university should have a strong Chemistry department. Ideally it should also offer Materials Science, Astronomy, Physics, Geology, Nanotechnology and Biology -- for these a his secondary interests," Cawley said.

Ainan's parents had contacted several universities but discovered that not many which are ready for a student so young.

"It takes many people to say yes, but only one person to say no," said Syahidah.

The Cawleys are eager to talk to universities which meet some of the requirements and urged institutions to get in touch with them at email " the.cawleys@gmail.com ".
