Abstract:
CVD Equipment Corporation (NASDAQ: CVV | charts | news | PowerRating) engages in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, installation, and service of chemical vapor deposition and gas control equipments in the United States and internationally. Its products include batch and single wafer systems used for depositing, thermal processing, annealing, diffusion, and etching of semiconductor films; gas and liquid flow control systems; ultra high purity gas and chemical piping delivery systems; standard and custom quartzware; reflow furnaces and rework stations; and carbon nanotube and nanowire deposition systems. The company also provides equipment consulting and refurbishing of semiconductor processing equipment. These products are used in manufacturing semiconductors, solar cells, carbon nanotubes, nanowires, and equipment for surface mounting of components onto printed circuit boards. It sells its products primarily to semiconductor manufacturers; institutions involved in electronic research, such as universities, government, and industrial laboratories; and electronic assembly manufacturers. The company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Ronkonkoma, New York. With 4.54 million shares outstanding and an undisclosed short position, there is no longer a failure to deliver in shares of CVV.
