Grant program links three levels of education
Abstract:
The program, which was established in 2002, is unique to Pennsylvania. Though several states had programs linking high schools or career vocational-technical schools with community colleges, or community colleges with four-year universities, none linked all three, Adukatis said.
Through the pipeline program, high school students may earn up to 15 college credits.
Students moving through the pipeline from high school to LCCC will be awarded the credits after enrolling at the community college to pursue a degree in nanotechnology, computer security or computer forensics.
