Coated roller chains take high loads
Abstract:
Roller chains are coated to significantly reduce the surface coefficient of friction within the chain link and offer a high load bearing capacity, wear-resistance and resistance to chemicals
German high-performance roller chain manufacturer Iwis Antriebssysteme (Iwis) has introduced its Nanochain roller chain. Nanochain features a patented surface coating based on nanotechnology. The coating acts like a boundary layer to significantly reduce the surface coefficient of friction within the chain link.
